WE WILL DEFEND DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM AGAINST OPPRESSIVE RULING AND COUPS D’ETAT!
Board chairman of TMMOB, Emin Koramaz, made a press statement on 15 July 2018 about second year of 15 July Coup Atempt.
Two years have passed over 15 July failed Coup attempt, of which question marks have not disappeared yet.
Although Coup attempt had failed, due to Declaration of State of Emergency afterwards, we live under civilian coup ruling. We have been going through a period that basic rights and freedoms have been restricted, legal mechanisms have been disabled, even innocent protest have been oppressed violently.
As TMMOB we are against coup d’état as we are against any kind of oppressive, authoritarian governing practices.
Only way for getting even with Coup D’état and coup plotters is freedoms and democracy to be widened and rule social and political lives.
As TMMOB, we will continue to stay against coups and dictators the same today as it was yesterday.
We will fight for a Turkey in which equality, freedom, democracy, peace and justice rule instead of oppression, cruelty and exploitation.
